What's it all about?

If you have ever found yourself wondering about the bigger questions in life: Why am I here? What's the point in life? Can there really be a God out there? … then Alpha is the perfect place to find some answers.

What is Alpha?

The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed informal setting over a few weeks of thought-provoking sessions. It's low key, friendly, informal and there's no cost. Over 2 million people in the UK and 11 million worldwide have already found it to be a worthwhile experience.

Who is it for?

Alpha is literally for anyone - whatever your background or beliefs. All that you need is a curiosity and a desire to want to explore some of the bigger questions of life and faith.

When & Where?

Alpha usually runs on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 till 9pm at the Family Life Centre - the base of The Community Church.  However, we always look to accommodate people's availability whether daytime or evening 

What happens on an Alpha evening?

In each session we share some food together - (whether that's a meal or just cake and fruit!) We then watch some high quality short videos, having an opportunity afterwards to discuss what was said, share your thoughts, ask any questions or just listen in. 

What if I try it and don't like it? 

If at any point you decide Alpha isn't for you, that's not a problem. There's no pressure, no follow up, and no charge.

Can I try it out?

Absolutely- Just pop in and see what it's like for. You won't be alone but feel free to bring a friend if you prefer.
