In the natural world a structure needs good foundations for anything of substance to be built. In our Christian life it is important to have good foundations established. Our “Beta” course is a fantastic follow up course from Alpha or for any who are young Christians – it touches on all the key topics that we need to know about in order to grow in our Christian faith.

Sundays and during the week

In the Community Church there is a dedicated and gifted team of junior church teachers and helpers. The key ingredients that our children experience when they meet together are fun, friendship and most importantly, faith! On Sundays there are groups for all age groups that get together after the whole church have had an initial time of praise and worship. We have a creche, a 3s to 6s age and a 7 to 11 (Year 6) old group. Children need to be registered into and out of class by their parent/guardian – our stewards and junior church workers will help you with any questions.

Alpha courses, trips out, weekends away, in-house drama productions, as well as special events like The Donutman, Ishmael, Jim Bailey and Doug Horley have all featured in our children’s ministry.

All those who serve in our Junior Church undergo CRB checks.

By appointment

The Community Church are pleased to partner with and host the Reach Christian Counselling Ministry at The Family Life Centre in Southport.

Mid week groups in homes around our area of activity

The church meet together, around the region, in smaller, more informal midweek gatherings that we call ‘Connect Groups’. We use this name to help remind us that these smaller groups are there because we want people to be able to connect with God, connect with each other and make connections with those who as yet, don’t personally know Jesus.

Saturdays: 10am to 12 noon

Every Saturday at The Family Life Centre on Ash Street there is a team of men and women who meet together to pray for those with physical, emotional and spiritual needs. God is doing remarkable things, we have seen many lives touched as a result of prayer and we invite anyone with need to come and see what the Lord will do for them. No appointment is necessary and no charges are made - so come along!
